Whether you’ve lost them, they were never in your possession due to an estate, or they’re with an ex-spouse, we want to reassure you that you can still donate your vehicle.
Fortunately, we do not need the keys to proceed with your donation. Our flatbed tow service accommodates most of these scenarios, allowing us to pick up your vehicle safely and securely. However, we will need your vehicle's title in your name, the VIN, and clear access for the flatbed tow.
How to make it happen
Verify Title Ownership
Ensure that the vehicle title is in your name. If the title is not clear or if there are existing liens, we can't proceed with the donation.
Provide Vehicle Information
Gather your vehicle’s VIN. This number is essential for ordering a duplicate key from the dealer and for the towing service.
Arrange Flatbed Pickup
Contact Sunshine Shift to schedule a flatbed tow. We’ll need to know the location of the vehicle and ensure there’s a clear path for access.
Consider Key Duplication
If necessary, you may want to arrange for a duplicate key from the dealer using the VIN and title proof. Some vehicles may require dealer programming due to immobilizer chips.
Complete Donation Form
Fill out our vehicle donation form with your details, the vehicle information, and any relevant documents to finalize the donation.
